Bungalow Betsey proudly carries the name of the previous owner - Betsey Johnson, a famous New Yorker, a fashion designer best known for her feminine and whimsical designs, who fell in love with this little village and created this dream.
below are the photos of Bungalow Betsey before the renovation
Entering bungalow Betsy was like walking into a Technicolored, kitsch fantasy of Mexico, heavily steeped in Johnson's original pop-diva style: photos of Betsy and other celebrities who stayed here, patterned fabrics and glittery antique European chandeliers are set against confectionery color fuchsia; pillows are embroidered with religious icons; and wildly patterned traditional Mexican Indian skirts are thrown over wicker chairs.
Personal items, photos, antiques and market finds, much of which were cleared out of Betsy Johnson's New York apartment were trucked down across the border, are still scattered throughout the room.
